Our Mackay clinic was founded in 1981. This was a world first! Brisbane based staff would travel to Mackay several times a year, bringing equipment and personnel to provide artificial reproductive services to people in the region. QFG Mackay is now a permanent local unit which is fully accredited by the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC) and assisting couples in all areas of infertility, gynaecology and obstetrics.

The Medical Director of our Mackay clinic is Dr. Lance Herron with two other infertility specialists, Dr. Naguesh Gaunekar and Dr. Sally Rodrigues. Local nurse coordinators, a local scientist and counsellor, and local administrative staff complete the team which draws on the full expertise and back-up of Queensland Fertility Group’s state-wide network of clinics. Our reputation for providing a caring, compassionate and dedicated service comes from our commitment to individual patient care. Unlike many clinics, at QFG your doctor will manage your personalised program from your first consultation to your pregnancy and delivery.

Our team work together investigating couples, supporting them and providing successful medical solutions to people who are experiencing difficulty becoming pregnant. QFG Mackay offer all infertility treatments including IVF, chromosomal investigations, genetic services as well as a donor and freezing program.
