If your circumstances have led you to the point where you need to access donor eggs the first thing you need to do is obtain a referral from your GP to one of the QFG Doctors.
You can enter the QFG Donor Oocyte Program three ways:
- Put your name on the waiting list for the QFG Anonymous Altruistic program
- Bring along a somone who is prepared to donate their eggs (a known donor must meet certain criteria - see 'becoming an egg donor'
- Consider importing donor oocytes
For more detailed information on any of these options, we encourage you to contact one of donor team on 07 3839 1483 or 1800 734 483.
When you have found a donor…
When you have found a donor, you and your donor would meet with one of our Doctors to discuss a treatment program that suits you. Essentially your donor will undergo a collection of their eggs whilst the lining of your uterus is prepared to accept a fertilized embryo.

As part of the donation process, you, your donor and respective partners will be required to complete the necessary paperwork and consent forms, as well as undergo a simple medical screening process.
We also require all donors and recipients meet with the QFG psychologists to discuss the social and ethical implications of the donation process. It is important to understand that the purpose of this meeting is not to determine whether or not the procedure will proceed, it is simply to provide relevant information we believe is necessary as part of this process.
For more information please call the Queensland Fertility Group Donor Program on (07) 3839 1483 or 1800 734 483, our team would like to support you through the entire process.
